Max Gleeson is recognised as one of Australia’s most experienced wreck divers and authorities on NSW, SS Yongala and Truk Lagoon shipwrecks. His interest in diving began with spearfishing in the mid 1960’s. Max is a multi-award winning underwater photographer, his awards include the prestigious Australasian Underwater Photographer of the Year award.
Over many years Max has given numerous presentations promoting Maritime History to various groups such as Dive Clubs, Historical Societies, National Maritime Museum and Oztek Conferences.
Max continues to research and dive wrecks in Australia and overseas, the which are now being shown on his new YouTube channel…@shipwrecksoftheworld878. New to Max’s website is the option of buying either the “NSW series, Yongala documentary or Shipwrecks of Truk lagoon” on a quality USB stick. Max’s work covers over nine hours of quality footage diving some of the best shipwrecks in the world. USB sticks can either be played on a laptop or PC, but are much more enjoyable plugged into a large TV. Most modern TV’s have this facility.
